What's wrong with a leather strap? And why not just buy some other strap then?
Nothing wrong with it, just previously I tried to avoid it getting damaged but have now decided I'll leave it on whilst washing up, bathing baby, etc and just replace it as and when it needs it.
Just don't get the leather wet or it'll start to stink pretty quickly.
Or swap it to keep the OM part new.
