Amazing. Thanks @Muppetteer and @kboy. Looks like the best course of action.

Think everyones right and it's best just to go with more modern stuff. And replace the mbp with something next year.

Next question - what would be whats the most economic screen option? two decent sized ones would be ideal - 22" would prob be enough

But generally I think Dell are pretty decent if you're on a budget. Just make sure you don't end up in the weird world in-between non-retina and retina, it seems like you pay more and get less

I don’t think it does... also only 1080p

If you can stretch to it, always look for a QHD minimum with USB C power delivery.

A single 27” with those features beats two 22” monitors all day long
