The contrast of Richard Mille and Lidl sponsorship. Not knocking Lidl by the way, do a stellar almond ice cream, just somewhat opposite ends of the spectrum.

Not in my eyes.
Infact I could see that in Lidl. Amongst the kayaks and screwdrivers.
Priced accordingly liek. £3.99

That ceramic blue looks fucking terrible, the green is probably just as shit. Honestly, what a shit show. The orange OP is the strongest for me if I had to pick one.
I'm in agreement. I personally think that no date sub is best, but suspect its a ostentatious footballers watch in person.
The gold or the black OP I think is great. My only issue with mine is its quite small on my wrist. I'm sad that the white is now gone though.
The colours can fuck off. I can see they're trying to be fun. Get the next gen interested in them. Personally, I'd say don't make your watches so expensive and make more (for 2nd hand market sake) and you'd get more yoof engagement.

Nah they know exactly what their market is. It's an accessible, "affordable" entry level Rolex and I'm sure many of them get bought as gifts for wives and daughters by those who can afford to. The Dads want Explorers and Submariners, the OP isn't really aimed at them, though the black dial is still present and correct and in 36mm it's really probably the most well designed and tasteful Rolex in the current range.

Reckon this is probably the coolest forum watch.

Ha! I was really keen on the white two and two year production only, they'll be a strong bet for the future.

They made the white 39/36/34 OP for at least four years I think, but in the context of Rolex overall there are very few white dial watches (especially OPs/DJs) so they might well be intentionally creating another desirable secondary market watch.

I've decided to wear this a bit more and be less precious about it having a leather strap.

What's wrong with a leather strap? And why not just buy some other strap then?

Planned to wear this, a watch given to me ages ago by my late uncle, as a new battery arrived.
Unfortunately it doesn't work so decided not to wear one today. The contacts look a bit corroded so I'll try carefully cleaning them and try again. Otherwise I guess at some point I'll try and find a replacement movement.

Nothing wrong with it, just previously I tried to avoid it getting damaged but have now decided I'll leave it on whilst washing up, bathing baby, etc and just replace it as and when it needs it.

Just don't get the leather wet or it'll start to stink pretty quickly.
