Dettol's latest outdoor campaign is getting rightly crucified on Twitter this morning. I honestly don't think I've seen such bad ad copy in my life. Anyone else missing 'hearing buzzwords', tho?

This isn't a case of 'so bad, it's good', but is it a case of 'so bad, it works'? I mean, how else would you get that amount of exposure for a cleaning brand outdoor campaign? Clever/risky if they angled/anticipated for it. I suppose it would come down to whether, in the purchasing decision making for Dettol vs whatever else, is basic brand awareness worth that much more than brand perception?

Just heard three times in half an hour: "alive".
Used as a synonym for "alert", as in "are we alive to the fact that this project might overrun?"

I work for a very large accountancy firm and this sort of shite is rife - the emotional barometer was a personal fave. Describing anything that is relatively large as 'punchy' is very much on trend at the moment

"Rolling out a new ..." if it ain't got wheels or if it won't carry on down a hill after a gentle nudge, please stfu about rolling it out. Your roll-out will be physically dull. A new cheese at the Cooper's Hill cheese tumbling and fracture event is acceptable usage :-) So long as it isn't sold in triangles.

"The SalesOrg" I overheard my wifes online company meeting where they were giving awards to outstanding members of The SalesOrg. Sounds like something from Scientology.

In this space between my ears. Which would ordinarily have been filled with thinking. But which Iβm far too fucking lazy to even consider undertaking because itβs frankly not my job, or rather it is but usually is something proles, who are in fear of losing a fragile paid role that theyβve been threatened is at jeopardy should have swept up after me.
Goodness! Apologies!
I think that's a pretty standard prompt to get a move on.
One of those things that may have originally seemed a bit politer but now it's in general use could just be replaced by "get on with it".
