  • Sounds shit. Shoulda bought a ground floor flat in Hackney.

  • top work....good luck with future projects!

  • Fantastic thread to read through, missed it the first time around.

  • Ah, yes, well it’s still ongoing!

I’m currently in my shed with a wire brush attachment on my angle grinder cleaning rust off 70 linear metres of steel RSJs ready for painting to make a tractor shed.

  • Well it never ends with houses. What are RSJs? Google only brings up ski boots.

  • Rolled Steel Joist - structural steel beams

  • Uncut and then cut with brackets welded on. Taking me about 2 hours to angle grind the rust off each one, then they need to be painted ASAP to stop it reappearing.

  • Is that barn yours too?
    Dibs if so.

  • Ha, sadly not, that one is father in laws. Long term plan is to replace it with a more usable steel shed and convert that one, all the doors are too low to fit much machinery in currently.

  • HOW MUCH DO YOU WANT FOR IT?

  • Sadly not mine to sell, I just advise.
