  • Just go out and hit the streets on your bike a couple of times a week. Start just riding around some places you’ve never been to before, then start stretching it out a bit further as you get fitter/stronger/more confident. If you can regularly do 1.5 hours you’ll be spending a good amount of time a week in the fat burning zone and you should shed the weight fairly effectively.

    Obvs keep an eye on what’s going in too. Booze, crisps, biscuits, chocolate etc etc aren’t going to help.

    You’d have been spending that time on your bike commuting anyway, so why not make time for it again but in a more leisurely way.

  • I don’t think ‘get out on the bike more’ is quite the advice required, considering it’s about home fitness....

    Also it normally takes me at least 30 minutes to prepare to go out for a ride, and 30 minutes to sort myself out after, so not so time efficient.
