  • Having dinner in Aachen, table behind us is two guys who work at AC Schnitzer, and an English guy and his female friend, the chap clearly knows a lot about BMW’s and has been telling the entire restaurant about them since he sat down. Did I mention that his voice carries?

  • I think the chap might be a YouTuber as he keeps saying “I’ll do a video on [whatever the other guy just mentioned]”.

Me Julie reckons it’s Joe Achilles. Anyone know who he is?

  • He’s here in Schmee’s McLaren.

  • Couple of nice spots.

So you either work at ford or share an office with top gear?

  • Yes mate it's the latter! They sometimes have interesting stuff parked up. I wondered who the fuck could afford that rolls royce phanthom, that was parked up down there the other day, made me think my colleagues must be on way more than me...

  • Got me thinking why bother blanking number plates on car pics online, do people really steal them off the interwebz?

  • Nice. Mark who is one of the photographers is an acquaintance, "friend" might be over selling it, but he was saying that his neighbour has been quite aggressive towards him, calling him a drug dealer, threatening to call the police, even threatened to "sort him out", all because of the cars he takes home for work!

I don't think it helps that he's just bought a road legal 360 challenge race car, which I think makes serious noises.

  • Bastard Neighbour thread?

  • Wonder if Ford actually made that or farmed out to a contractor.

  • Stainless steel rusting?

  • Anyone got a link to those guys making full carbon alfas? Or did I maybe dream it.

  • why bother blanking number plates on car pics online

I think it's to stop people cloning plates.

One of our neighbour's cars had its plates cloned once. Was fairly easy for them to prove they hadn't been ragging it through whatever series of speed cameras.

  • Got me thinking why bother blanking number plates on car pics online, do people really steal them

A work colleague got dragged out of his RS6 after a 3 car police stop, due to the reg having previous failures to stop for police. He was one his way home after purchasing. The reg had been cloned off Autotrader. He was advised to put a line of black tape on the bottom of the plate to stop it happening again.

  • That’s the one! Cheers.

Can you expand on this? I don’t understand.

  • so when it flashed on ANPR cameras there would be a note in log re cloned plate? and wouldn't be ambushed

  • Spotted a nice Sunbeam Alpine hardtop today.

  • Winner
