London's Famous @Clara has been charitably restoring bikes donated by local residents in our area and getting them roadworthy. Then, in an attempt to get more people to work in difficult times, giving them to care workers and hospital staff for the cost of any parts.
One of the donations is this very original Shopper. Given it's metallic poo-brown, has a chrome dynamo, headlight almost as big as a Rolls Royce, kick stand built into the frame and a great rack: We think it's probably more attractive to a mad person from an internet bicycle forum, than someone trying to get to work in a hospital during a pandemic. We just want to see it loved for its vintage charm.
Her waiting list also has a lot of >5'9" male key workers with little cycling experience on it, so it isn't really the right thing.
So, I propose a swap. Does anyone want this historic piece of design history? It's in generally decent nick. We'd be after any serviceable normal shaped bike in return, fine if it needs a service and some fresh cables, but no critical problems please. To be provided to someone in need.
