I've lost a pack of 4 String shelf 'clips' ? Im not sure what to search for in order to get them
Also I've been trying to think of a chair I like which has thick straight round legs, all close to each other and a rounded shallow seat. It's been on the tip of my tongue but cant think what on earth its called

What places are there to look for sofas? We've done the obvious of DFS, sofology, furniture village (pretty much all terrible), and the various places down Tottenham court road (better but nothing leapt out at us).
Looking for a 2 seater and a 3 seater, probably fabric, not too bulky looking, no metal legs (except possibly black). Cheers

Unhelpful anecdote: My wife made us ‘do’ the TCR DFS. It was lunchtime, I hadn’t eaten, and she made me chat to the salesman to push my buttons. I was really really unpleasant to the chap and she still brings it up to this day. Thankfully we have had no need to return.

You monster. You realise you can buy food on TCR, right? There's an M&S food practically opposite DFS.
-
• #363
There are always plenty of sofas out in the street, you just have to keep your eyes open. :)

It was an unplanned stop before a booking at ottolenghi! I didn't want to go into DFS anyway, it was all shit. Rosie's choice, and she then had the cheek to make me do the sales staff interaction. If the guy didn't have an inkling of my opinion before he threw the pitch at me, he definitely knew after.

Same boat. I've been pushing the idea of finding something old and reupholstering. Even found a place that had some good stock and would do the work. But no. Cambridge is too far to go to check them. So it's sofadotfuckingcom all the way.

I'm sat on a Camerich. It's nice. Cat has fucked it though with his stupid claws.

Have a look at Ligne Roset, we are big fans.
Currently sat on a Sintra in green velvet. -

Not up to the standard of dbr’s craftsmanship but here’s my weekend effort with reclaimed scaffolding boards

Cheers and @Cornish_Bike they both look to have better options than we've been seeing (albeit at a price). Camerich showroom seems to be conveniently located just off TCR.
Do you know if Ligne Roset has a showroom in London anywhere? It says Heals but I don't remember seeing much in there.

We've actually just bought replacement covers for ours at a cost of £700 so the sofa will have a second life.
Cat likely to fuck this one too but hey ho

Yes, Mortimer Street...

Also they have a store in Bromley. These are the only two factory stores around though..

You can view a decent selection of LR stuff in Heal’s too - think a lot of it has 20% off at the moment. We got our Hay sofa from Viaduct but several places carry them. From experience of buying furniture at the moment you can negotiate a decent % off list

Cheers. Not sure how I missed that on their website.
Will have another look at Heal's too.

Liking the look of this chair, the price not as much.

Cross post from the leather shoe thread.
Does anybody know anything about white leather? My parents sofa has a sort of peeling problem, where a layer is coming off. It’s leather, was made to order by Habitat in Italy so, I’m pretty sure it’s real and should be quite nice for the amount it cost.
But what is this layer on the surface which is a little discoloured with the bright white leather below?
