I’m amazed by my shake dry. I’ve yet to sweat on the inside of it. Admittedly it’s a weird look but I’d rather be dry. My slight reservation is how fragile it might be time will tell with that.
It also has a stow pocket I only discovered at the weekend and packs down very small. -

It’s £126 I’ve seen Gore ones in the sale for ~£140

Ah perfect. Now I’ve just got to hope I’m not too fat to squeeze into it when it gets here

in non-bike wear, anyone know if the "mechanics denim" and the "mechanics trouser" are the same cut/sizing, ie. bigger than most rapha trousers? I have a 30 in mechanics denim and 32 others.

Off the back of the recommendations above I've grabbed the brevet insulated jacket in an uncharacteristically bright orange (the others werent on sale). No bad thing for commuting in winter at least.
Fancied a classic jersey but really only interested in the black so will hold off.
Nothing in the city series really of interest, think they have gone backwards a bit in that area.

Nothing in my size I was interested in, which was fortunate for my wallet.

Does anyone know if the bar bag is ever coming back in stock?
-
• #34584
In new colours I believe yes

Nice.

How waterproof is the Essentials Case? And does the zipper inside scratch phone screens or their camera lenses?
-
• #34587
The non-waterproof one, not much. The waterproof version, very.
-
• #34588
My experience is that the dye from the leather case can stain light coloured clothing if it gets very wet.
-
• #34589
Sweat has not penetrated. Not tested in downpour yet. The zipper Has not scratched my phone. It’s a decent product.

Does anyone want a softshell base layer? I think size small
Bought in sale years ago and worn once. Not sure I see the purpose of it but you might. I don’t want anything for it
-
• #34591
These are brilliant in winter, you hardly need to wear anything else
-
• #34592
I'll take it! Will pm
-
• #34593
True, but you won’t wear anything else because it never comes off.
-
• #34594
Sweat gives it a proper scuba gear feel!
-
• #34595
I thought it was so people could wear their normal club jerseys and be weather proofed.
-
• #34596
I have a similar base layer from under armour and (paired with a gabba) it is an essential piece of kit for winter riding up here. you get wet but stay warm ime

Not 4 rides (c. 160km) on the pro team thermal Bib shorts and they've already started to bobble at the chamois section.
Looking through the thread the last mention of shorts bobbling was a few years ago, has anyone recently had this problem? Hoping it comes under the repair programme if it gets any worse.

Anyone miss out on a large brevet gilet with pockets in dark yellow (bright orange) in the recent sale want it at cost before I send it back. It's oddly massive compared to my brevet thermal gilet.

Montane primino
Thought I'd see what the fuss is about on these, day 3 and I am impressed. (140 long sleeve baselayer)

my pro team thermals are disintegrating too, dont think any of the pro team stuff lasts
Nailed it. Not really worth comparing it to the higher end / shitcrap weather rain jackets.
