We’ve been borrowing an outlander phev over the summer, it has the worst satnav I’ve ever tried to use. Quite like the dashboard otherwise but driving it is bizarre. The steering feels like it’s connected with rubber bands that pull it back to the centre and all the power is in about the first mm of pedal travel so it’s annoying to move smoothly at low speed.

This is more of a un-appreciation post. Have driven our mitsubishi outlander phev for 6 months now and it is boring af. Good lease deal with lots of annual miles allowed, the only available phev I could find with a towbar etc but so boring, and makes annoying beeps all the time. Also comes with a completely useless phone app to set heater/air con schedules which doesn't work at all. The thing has its own wifi that you can't connect to from more than 10 metres and certainly not if you're inside the house. Like going back 10 years in time compared to our old volvo which could be easily accessed remotely from anywhere. Apparently mitsubishi are pulling their cock out of Europe next year so no need to think about getting another one when this lease runs out in 18 months. Really hope there are more options by then.
