I don't think that slightly uneven rubber, which actually extends further than the tread, is going to be an issue when railing 36c tyres round corners
To be clear, I'm talking about rubber not extending far enough. When I turn I'll be on tyre that rapidly switches between surfaces (gumwall and rubber).
Sorry, realised there's two separate people with two issue here. Just saw the video you posted, I had a Schwalbe Lugano that did exactly that, carcass failed on the first ride and bulged over to one side exactly like that. Wiggle replaced it immediately.
