MGOOF : Modern groupset on old frame

I've taken a picture of my bike there!

Anyone got any tips for a relatively compact/ modern bar to fit a 25.4 clamp. This to go on my 90s Nigel Dean Senator. “ Nitto x fairweather” look nice but are £60. I’m not a fan of big loopy classic drops.

hm 25.4 I don't know, but there's a few 26.0's. Soma Highway One is pretty good.

Nitto M106 and M151 come in 25.4.

Yeah very nice dude. shame have left the smoke as would be great to get a mgoof roll in with you. If ever bring my rig down visiting ray will hit you up

Edit: Or, more specifically, is there a forum approved quil to ahead adapter? Have just ordered a Deda one but have now come across the Velo Orange one which looks a bit nicer.

BBB do a ‘steerer extender’ that has no shoulder on it allowing for any length within reason. I found this to be the cleanest I could find and a lot cheaper than the non- shouldered Nitto one.

Actually, would also have ever so slightly shallower rims.

I guess the main thing with with adaptors is weight and price - it'll all be hidden anyway and I can't imagine Deda or VO making anything unsafe.

I have a Deda one on the way. Will see how that looks and then will consider the VO and BBB ones.

My new to me rig '91 PINARELLO MONTELO SLX, still in the process of rebuilding it with modern parts after I repainted to black which is formerly blue color. Installing SRAM Apex 11 speed but need a new cranksets. Also a new compact handlebar is on its way. My question is, will a BB30 or new Shimano bottom bracket will fit in? Bike came with DA 7400 sets. Thanks.

threaded - yes sure.
for the bb30 there's some options out there by rotor etc.
