it seems like they prefer you making larger orders.
Sounds like you are sorted but FWIW I don't think Peter minds small orders.
I pretty reliably forget something every time I put in an order so have to make another smaller order.
There is a minimum order quantity but its only like a tenner or so. I just chuck in some random braze-ons or something if I need to make an order up to the minimum.

yeah i think it says a tenner minimum order but delivery was maybe £8 or 9 and i balked at that for 20 braze ons @50p.
based on @Hulsroy talking about getting some plain gauge 4130, i had a look online but it does not seem like a commodity that's available in retail quantities. where are people getting their more basic tubing from?

Just call peter up. He'll have all sorts of cheap chromoly tubing knocking about for this sort of stuff. I buy long lengths 19, 25, 35 and 44.5mm 4130 off him for my cargo bikes.

^ that, but also LAS Aero. They sell it by the foot and I have bought a single foot at a time.
Peter will likely be an order of magnitude cheaper, like 1500mm from him will be cheaper than the foot from LAS.
It’ll also be quicker, LAS don’t seem to carry much stock themselves so often have to wait for them to get it in first. They will still do this for a single foot of tubing though.
I only use LAS when I need a very specific size of tubing ie to sleeve over another tube, for stem clamps etc.

I’ve just realised that I totally forgot and didn’t order the braze ons you wanted. I’m so sorry!

Are there any pre-bent 31.6mm ID seat tubes available this side of the ocean?
Can only see a 27.2 from Columbus zona/29er which seems an odd choice of size to produce -
• #1090
Or anyone with a toob bender willing to bend me one?
@coldharbour ? -
• #1091
Pretty sure Reynolds do some 30.9mm ones. Not sure about 31.6. I'll try to remember to check my Reynolds tubing list - don't have it to hand at the moment.

-
• #1094
So they do, I missed the word bent when I looked through
Thank you!
-
• #1095
no worries :)

• #1096
Would that work as a seat tube though?
Would be cut at roughly 370mm above the bend, which would mean top tube and seat stays would be brazed to the .65mm wall thickness part, sounds iffy?

Is anyone doing steel dropouts for SRAM UDH yet?
IS mount brake boss on forks. 7mm between the dropout contact surface and the brake contact surface, laterally. Is that correct?
