Yep worked fine. 11 speed RS685 and have used 10 speed 5700 in past.

I mean go for aftermarket chainset as this allow a lower gears, or even go for the GRX one (if front derailleur allowed).

Just saw that the FC-RX810-2 was cheaper than buying rings. Only thing is I lose the PM but in honesty for the sort of riding I'd use it for I doubt I'd need it.

Stronglight have 44, 46, 48 and 49T outer rings to fit 4-bolt Ultegra/105.

Their smallest inner ring is 34T though, which I think is a limitation of (non-oval) chainrings with 110 BCD. So if you want 32T or smaller you need either an oval chainring or a different crankset (e.g. FSA, GRX).

The power meter is on drive side or no NDS?

dual sided. I'd have to ask if I could throw the NDS on and use it as a single... it's a Magene so there's not much info out there. They're responsive though.

Thx... will take a look. In two minds as to whether I'm just best having a crankset I swap in when I want to ride steep stuff off-road or swap chainrings around. I guess time-wise it's not much difference.

Another thing is may need to use an HDM mech and problem solvers clamp if bottle boss gets in way of high or low clamp mech. I used an HDM as it was all I had.

That's lovely! Another to consider. I'll be running di2 though - can you remove the down tube bosses? Can't find any good pics of one with di2.

It's got little bungs for Di2 cables. Don't think the down tube bosses are removable though. At least not without an angle grinder!

Actually they might be removable. I'll DM you a pic of the post with the cable adjuster thingy removed. They might unscrew, not that I want to wrench mine to find out. Probably worth asking Ison Distribution (the UK all city distributor)...

Yes indeed. The new GRX cranks have 110 BCD for the outer ring and 80 BCD for the inner ring.

My advice if you want ultra-low gearing on 2x is to buy a GRX crankset and a GRX front derailleur. You need to get the derailleur too because the chain-line for GRX is 2.5mm outboard.

In case it helps anyone: my Specialized Sequoia came with an FSA chainset that's 48/32T and works with a standard 105 front derailleur. The cassette is an 11–36T Sunrace and also works with a 105 derailleur (GS cage but no extender as far as I am aware). So it's possible to make a non-GRX Shimano road setup work. Though I don't know if I would have necessarily gone for this exact setup had it not come with the bike.

I’m using di2 so its sounding like grx cranks are an expensive upgrade despite the cranks being pretty cheap
