Hang on, are you starting to work for Uber eats but you need to buy your own backpack?
(apologies for derailing the thread)

On a more helpful note, this seems to be in stock? https://www.ubereatskit.co.uk/bag-only/large-bag-tpu-front-loader-with-bicycle-motorcycle-straps_130_1028

Yeah they don’t provide you with any starter not unfortunately. I’ve spoken to a mate of mine who does uber eats already and he’s said that the bag you posted is more aimed at motorcycles and wouldn’t actually be much good for a push bike as it’s a bit too large and also more expensive.

If they issue people with kit then the delineation between employee or sub-contractor would be even more blurred.

ah, so it's the equivalent of me having my own laptop when I freelance?

Checked ebay? Seems to be a few on there

I’ll probs grab one off there yeah but they all seem pretty pricey, thought it might be a lil cheaper second hand

Out of curiosity, and feel free to not answer, what kind of monies do you make working for them?
-
• #10
I’m not sure as of yet to be honest, but I’ve just been made redundant so will be doing this to earn a bit of money between jobs really

This fucking country...

You can have my Stuart one for £20 Insulated backpack like the Deliveroo job. Pm if interested
-

Yeah it puts me off using these apps, I guess they will become inescapable at some stage.
Nothing against those trying to earn a coin delivering however. -

Hey dude you can have my small insulated bag if you can pick up from EC1V - Its a deliveroo one thats for motorcycle panniers (?) but it works very nicely if you put it on a front rack. Nice for going to parks and stuff too because it's basically a cooler :)
Weird that you didn't get this stuff for free - when I signed up during lockdown they gave me that, the big backpack and two very very shitty jackets...
PM me if you're interested :)

Hey man sorry! I’ve only just seen this, I’m sorted now thanks to @matteroftaste , Stuart bag is doing the job well! I think deliveroo were doing free gear but they’re no longer taking on cyclists, and Uber eats still charge for their bags. Cheers though much appreciated!
Starting work with Uber eats but their backpacks are out of stock on website. If anyone on here has one or something similar I’ll take it!
