• Had a few people message me after I replied to a wanted ad with some photos of this; figured I'd post it here.

I built this up in March this year while my Fairlight was getting brazed back up (oops). It's probably done around 300 miles since, and had a lot of new parts at the time.

    Full spec as follows:

Frameset: Thorn Audax '575' - tubes are Reynolds 753 / 708 / 653 / 531c. Fork is 531c. Dates from 1999, built in Somerset. Build quality is lovely; all the brazing and lugs are very clean. It's essentially 57.4cm (22 5/8") c/c square. When I stripped it down, I gave the frame and fork a good check over, so there's no dents, cracks or notable corrosion. It's 21 years old - there's some chips, scuffs and rubs in the paint, but overall it's very presentable and thoroughly sound.
Headset: Stronglight, cleaned and regreased when I built it back up in March.
Bars: Nitto Noodle Mod177, 44cm. aka the comfiest bars in the world
Tape: Cinelli cork, new in march. Turned beech Velox bar ends, finished with Velox cloth tape.
Shifters: Shimano Ultegra 6600, nice positive 'click' still.
Crankset: Shimano 6650. Same as 6600 chainset, except this one is 110bcd rather than the 130bcd which is the norm. New Hollowtech BB in March.
    Chainrings: TA Zephyr high-polish 43/33t.
Front mech: Shimano Ultegra 6600 28.6mm
    Rear Mech: Shimano Ultegra 6600
Wheelset: Shimano Ultegra 6700. Radially and laterally true, buttery smooth, minimal rim wear.
Cassette: Shimano Ultegra 6700 12-27, new in March.
    Chain: Shimano Ultegra 10 speed
Tyres: Michelin Pro4 Endurance 28mm, new in March. I really like these tyres, although some gumwalls might really set it off...
Brakeset: Shimano R650 (Ultegra level non-series long-drop brakes) with new triple compound pads. Stops well.
Saddle: Selle San Marco Concor, black suede. Little bit of scuffing etc, but good for age.

New Shimano cables, chain, BB etc 300 miles ago. Rides superbly; the frame is a lot stiffer than I expected it to be, but still very zingy and lively.

I could possibly include the following: I have a spare set of wheels (that came on it) here, which are Deore Parallax hubs laced to Ambrosio Elite rims, 32h. The rear cones would benefit from attention. Can also chuck in a bottle cage, and some new (unfitted) SKS silver mudgards, too. Maybe even a Tortec rack, as well, if I can dig it out.

I'm looking for £750; I'd expect it to easily fetch that in parts, if I were to break it. Based in Camberwell, SE5.
