@Soul - I think a second hand G29 would be about the top of my budget for just giving it a go. If I had the space, I'd be happy to drop more money and also get the full rig as well as a better wheel in future.

I've been eyeing a Fanatec club sport setup with seat etc for a while but it's 1,800 EUR. If the wife ever found out that I spent that about of money, i'd be murdered.

FYI: G920 is Xbox, G29 is PS4
I have a G29, mounted to an eBay stand (was about £40), got the wheel on a black Friday deal.
(I haven't bothered with the gear stick, i like the flappy paddles)When i was doing my research, the Logitech G29/920 was always the recommendation for "low" budget verses quality.
Anything cheaper tens to be much worse, and the next step up are much more expensive.If you are not sure, defo go G920 (possibly 2nd hand on ebay?) because you'll get back what you paid for it if you don't get on with it/ want to upgrade.
Not sure what prices will do when the XBSeX / PS5 launch, depends on compatibility I guess.

Thanks guys, handy to know. I think (according to the internet) that the G29 is basically the same as the Driving Force Pro, so that's promising!
