There are definitely a few on here with much more experience than I, but I picked up an old Driving Force Pro (GT4 era wheel) for £50 on ebay to dip my toe in and it's great. Was considering a G29/920 but not sure if it's worth the jump in price from my current wheel. Only really jump between Assetto Corsa, GT4 & Enthusia (the latter two on PS2), well worth the money (and I'd have happily paid £200 for a modern wheel if it was as good as this).
Mine is just mounted on my computer desk so can't give much feedback on the console/screen issue unfortunately.
Looking for a little input/advice about racing sim setups, if anyone has some experience:
I've been playing them since I was about 5, always with a controller, and have always wanted the full setup - especially as they've actually started to look like they work well. However, I rent a room, so space means it's not going to be possible at the moment.
I've been thinking of getting a Logitech G920 and the matching shifter second hand to clamp to a desk - would this be worthwhile, or just a bit crap? Currently playing Dirt 2.0 on the Xbox, and will finish Forza 6/maybe buy 7 or Assetto Corsa when my Game Pass runs out.
As an extra factor - my Xbox is currently in the lounge on the 50" TV with a sofa. The wheel would have to go upstairs on my 29" ultrawide. The xbox would letterbox that to about a 24" 16:9 screen.
