Cool, less than I thought.
Not a huge gap then. A 2019 moonwatch in excellent condition with all of the gubbins only costs about £800ish less than new. A 2016 without the flashy case about £1200 less. If the price goes up let's see what the 2nd user market does.

I find myself missing the Grand Seiko. Damn it...

My strictly imaginary watch journey led me from the terribly shiny GS to the JDM AB9000-61e or similar... claimed twice as accurate, jumping hour, bit more subtle, and even more baffling to the majority of watch fanciers (win). Never seen one, mind.

I do love that Citizen. But I don't have £2k to spare at the moment and the SBGX can be had for around £1100 if I'm patient.
Edit: Also, love how on the website it says ''other feather'' :-)

The Moonwatch is a great example of their approach to pricing, Omega had two UK price rises last year (May & Oct) and the next imminent is rumoured to be another 6-7%. It was a sub £2k watch about 15 years ago, a friend bought one admittedly discounted about two years ago from an AD for £3K. To be honest my focus is nearly exclusively vintage and prices have remained fairly unchanged although I’ve seen a few people cashing in their Ed Whites.
@PawG Sorry, only got 20mm buckles.

Had a chuckle at this blunt response from Steinheart

Don't forget free postage.

I think it's actually 0.1% off.

Would you believe I work with numbers for a living...
(0.1% is correct)

Euros aren't really in to the whole discounting thing, I thought. So you get silly stuff like this.

These guys I hope!

• #47291
I reckon that'll sell pretty quick. On the face of it, £200k is a good price.
-
• #47292
Clearly.
I'm doing something wrong.

• #47293
Can't imagine many people would look to buy that watch on eBay though!

• #47294
Especially not from a seller with 1 feedback

Any takers? It’s a lot more than the disgusting Daytona, unfortunately.

Is there a trick for making those lovely Italian rubber dive straps smell just a little bit less like a Yankee Candle?
-
• #47297
Don't know what a Yankee candle is but sure know the strap smell you mean.
Its baked right through the rubber. Tends to fade a little after five years or so...think you might have to get used to it!
-
• #47298
What's a Yankee candle???
Truely curious -
• #47299
Very LLL

Maybe a vanilla smell?
Edit; too late, they’re not gonna go away.
