Thanks both. Will try that.
I did some mathing and every 7.5 mm the thread will be fully supported, but I guess there will be some partial contact between these points too.

As it happens, I had a similar thing modeled in Fusion 360 already.
This is M10 x 1.5 threaded 10mm thick plate, with a M10 x 1.25 rod. Your maths checks out.
