  • Is it going to be a shelf queen? If not, don't worry, they're gonna get scuffed up anyway.
Take it you have the ugly duckling body shell?

  • @Howard and @Matisse, you guys need owt from RC Jaz? Gonna do an order and if you need smallish items thought I could order then post to you, saving on multiple postage.

  • Oh good idea

Also yes the ugly duckling is here

  • i'm good at the mo thanks bud

  • Cool. Have a look if they've got owt you need, gimme a shout if you want summat, will probably be ordering tomorrow evening.

  • No problem. Just thought I'd ask before ordering.

  • Porsche gets stickers. Crappy masking on headlights will be covered with more stickers after the body gets a coat of Matte Clear.

  • Took the DN01 to Kensington Gardens with the boy - had a good time as he was well in to it, especially getting it to climb a ramp on to a fallen tree then jumping it off.

Later we attracted a very excited staff type dog who, in the words of Hairy Maclary, wanted to run, wanted to race, but the main thing wanted was something to chase. He was a good match for the DN01 and managed to keep up with it for a good five minutes at full speed until the owner and I agreed a plan that wouldn't involve the car being bitten any more than it had already been.

Expected a bit of a telling off from the owner but she loved it, said she wanted a drone to help with similar exercise. Smiles all round. Dog looked shattered. I'll take that.

  • Sounds like a fine day.

  • Porsche after Matte Clear and a trim. Next the trim and lights get added. Then the epic will be over.

  • I was thinking of putting it on a TB05 but can’t see how you’d get the short wheelbase and wide rear so I think it’s stuck on the lame TT01/2 chassis :(

  • Excuse my ignorance here, what's up with the TT01,bit basic?

  • It’s all abs plastic. Except the diff bevel gears and drive cups. Not a turnbuckle in sight. Friction dampers. Doesn’t even come with bearings. Bleuugh.

  • That sure is a lot of plastic. You would think all kits would come with bearings and oil shocks, not like they're expensive items, when produced on a mass scale.

  • Plastic bushings are unforgivable.

They just want you to spend another £200 to get the thing to viable runner spec when a TA07 would have been better from the off.

Also - it’s a Porsche so isn’t it supposed to be rear engine front wheel drive?

Could remove the rear drive shafts I guess

  • That's correct, Porsches are all rear engine FWD. Dammit's one is just like that.

  • Unless it's a AWD Porsche.

  • I don't think there's ever been a front wheel drive Porsche. Majority are rear, some four.

  • 1:1 cars. Complicated.

  • Paint ting
