Not going to mess around with it too much. Old school US vans are not as nice to drive as the new Transits and Sprinters but are bulletproof and handier off road. This one has a 6lt V8 so is pretty rapid...
I'm going to get a wheel chock for a motorbike, a tow bar (for another bike rack) and all our camping gear is going in flight cases that we can strap down. The van's got 110v power outlets already to charge laptops and stuff. We've a 20 gallon water tank, and a largish Engel Cooler which means that we can manage about a week in the wilderness without needing to go anywhere!
If I ever have enough cash, I'd love to put a sportmobile, pop-top roof bed on it, but that ain't happening any time soon.
