I love Better Things, Pamela Adlon was great in Louis, playing a very similar character. It feels like telly for actual grown-ups. Have you seen One Mississipi? Got cancelled after two series but really excellent. Also linked to Louis CK, though Tig Notaro says he really had nothing to do with it beyond being credited as an executive producer.
