Randomly I've been cleaning up a Strider Classic balance bike I just bought.
That model doesn't have a QR stem clamp like the more expensive models.
I'm pretty certain it has a small semi circular washer to hold a round nut with a straight bolt. You'd then keep the round nut from your current QR.
I'll see if I can take a photo later. But I've tried to roughly mark it on your pic. You could try and find a piece like that, or worst case contact the company and mod it yourself.

Fizk do those seatpost keeper things. Although I think some neat self-amalgamating(?) tape trimmed with a craft knife is neater.
