Does it make any difference if I use a mDP to HDMI instead of mDP to DP cable to connect my laptop to my external monitor or can I choose either with no significant disadvantage?
I need a new cable and mDP to HDMI seems like the more practical option. -

Do not get Hope, they are rubbish as the bolt is aluminum and they snap pretty easy. Get a Salsa or any other with a barrel nut, thank me later!

Or get a torque wrench and a Hope clamp.

get a torque wrench and a Hope clamp
A torque wrench isn't going to change the design of the Hope clamp to bring it above that crucial dividing line between "not even a nice paperweight" and "properly designed pipe clamp"

I do, 5Nm and 6.8Nm, I guess you don't?
It's their design and choice of material, both flawed...
^ what he said...

There’s your problem, it’s specced for 8Nm so perhaps you had a slipping seat post and then overtightened it without a torque wrench?
I’m aware the design isn’t optimal but in my experience it functions perfectly fine when tightened to spec and it looks nice matching my headset.

If you’re trying to run a 4K monitor at 60 Hz it’s more likely to happen with a DP cable. If you’re using a more boring resolution, you can use either.

Thanks.
My grandma used to have one of these, and it's really brightened up my day both as a witty reply and bringing back memories.

What's the deal when someone (a nursery) takes money from your bank account without authority to do that? i.e. they took for money we hadn't agreed?

I assume Direct Debit, in which case tell your bank. They must reimburse you and it's their responsibility to get the money back if they can.

Call them and ask for a refund. It will be a ball ache but they will do it.
Or nuclear option above - that pisses nursery off.

Is a SRAM force post-mount caliper be compatible with any SRAM hydro groupset? Reason I ask is because I am contemplating upgrading my groupset to etap arx, but I have mixed a post-mount fork, flat-mount frame. Frame was specced as flat mount when only post mount forks were available, but I don't particularly want to spend money buying a new flat mount fork. Ideally I could buy a new groupset, but still use my SRAM Force caliper and post mount fork.

We went through essentially the same question a month ago, you need to look in the SRAM spare parts catalogue to make sure that the piston area of the caliper you want to use is close enough to the piston area of the calipers your levers were designed to match
-
• #104090
What constitutes close enough?
-
• #104091
I'm pretty sure anybody could ride around a variation of ±20% of area. If your caliper pistons are much too big, you run out of lever travel before reaching a decent load. If they are much too small, you might run out of finger muscles before you run out of braking capacity.

Has anyone got a recommendation for a bike shop with a decent selection of MTB shoes in stock in south London? SE20 Cycles in Penge are my LBS but their stock is really limited at the minute. I'm sick of sending shoes back to online retailers so want to see what fits my horrible super wide/ wonky/ previously broken feet.

Condor.
Not S London.
You are looking for something that isn't there. -

As a heads up Condor aren’t allowing browsing / trying on at the moment.

If it snaps at 6.8, it'll snap at 8Nm.
No slippage at 6.8, constant adjusting though as I lend out my bike quite often. Check up on the reviews on MTB forums.
No such issues neither with Salsa nor Thomson which have the barrel nut and steel bolts.
Only suggested the former as OP wanted clamps which comes in both QR and Allen key, otherwise I'll go Thomson with the 4mm instead of the 3 they are currently supplied with.

Can anyone point me to a website I know I've seen before but cannot find on Google...
Its simple webpage that lists the overall dimensions of all tyre/rim combinations from biggest to smallest.
Very useful to see what size 650b tyres you'd need to match the overall diameter of a 700c wheel!

Specifically I want to swap the bolt/QR out ideally without replacing the seatclamp and removing the seatpost. Is that possible with the Salsa? Doesn't look like it unfortunately
Maybe I just have to buy two and mark my seatpost height

There are countless tables like this out there that do this job:
https://support.wahoofitness.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000738484-Tire-Size-ChartDivide by pi if you want diameter.
