the one time i went OTB was when i'd recently got a bike back from @Belagerent who'd fitted some shimano hydros in place of some cable discs (lovely vitus dee RIP), coming out of work I was trying to zip up my pocket when an unassuming pedestrian popped out, not thinking i grabbed the brake and was shocked at the immediacy in which i came to a halt
so much so i ended up on my back with said pedestrian asking if i was ok, physically yes, ego wise? no.
