Here's a collection I just found for you: https://www.pinterest.com/kassienorton/hide-modem-router/
I usually chuck it in a plastic box behind the TV unit or whatever. Signal not great.

what about speaker cloth and a wood or metal frame? Any metals that are worse than others?
All common metals are essentially equal when it comes to shielding RF and should be avoided completely. Even fasteners will act as parasitic directors since they will be close in length to the ½λ of the transmitter.
Wood is much worse than either cloth or fibreglass (it's used for RADAR domes for a reason), both of which create negligible attenuation in the 2.4GHz and 5Ghz bands of interest.
Procrastinating and idly wondered what you could use to cover a router to make it less ugly, but without interfering with the signal too much.
I assume plastic with large holes in it would be the least bad, but what about speaker cloth and a wood or metal frame? Any metals that are worse than others?
All internet searching leads me back to building materials. For good reasons probably.
