I've drank lots of coffee from moka pots but it's the first step above instant IMO, if it was the sole method of making coffee in my house I'd be willing to drop £300 on that when the alternative is an equally expensive Gaggia that takes up 10 times the space
Don't get me wrong, I still think home espresso is more effort than it's worth. I'm currently using a Kalita Wave for pour over and it works really well. The Hario Air Kettle is great too.
