The one we're looking at isn't actually listed but is sufficiently characterful. We have friends in a listed house and I don't think I could live with that.

Are you thinking of where I think you're thinking?
If so- important to note that when the bridges are down (which happens about 1/5 winters) its a bit of challenge.
The fast train gets you in to London before 9 though, and there's always parking at the station.
