No recall, just lots of reports of them snapping. Like everything Miche they're made of tin foil rather than aluminium.

I rode one for a few years. Bought it second hand and had no issues. Sold it a few years ago.

The issue is not really whether a lot of them break, it's that since they are also ugly, heavy and expensive, it is utterly unforgivable that any of them breaks. Kalloy SP-248 is prettier, lighter when cut to the same length, and a quarter of the price. If the Miche isn't at least indestructible, then what is it for?

Disagree, the Miche is pretty in the right setting - the Kalloy is a generic seat post. (...Waits for tester to destroy with facts and logic).
