Anyone got super wide feet? What shoes do you use?

I think Lake and Bont are the shoe of choice for wide feet these days.

Sidi MEGA is super wide.

So many models and numbers. Can you give me a summary? Why can't they have names like Eagle, Genius and Zephyr?!

I find fizik Road shoes good fit.. and material has good amount of elasticity.

Are these wide shoes like lake wide all round, or just wider in the forefoot? I have dainty little ankles and heels but wide donkey toes!
Bont look good, being able to mould around my smashed up little toes would be nice

What normal shoes do you wear just to give me an idea of your foot size? Are yours abnormally wide?
Mine seem to be just the toes that spread a lot so I get on with vivo barefoot shoes that are really wide, and new balance trainers are better than most but I’m tempted to try altra next

I wear a size bigger to compensate with a high insoles.

When I go back to the US I load up on 13(US) EEEE New Balance shoes. All of my leather soled work shoes are 12(UK) H width.

What I do and gaffa tape a filed off shoehorn for heel fit.

Now we have to cope with wide feet being envied can you believe it.

Mavic Maxi Fit were great, not sure if they still make them.

Pisses me off when companies just put a wide upper on their regular sole. Then your feet have the edge of the sole digging into them. Looking at you Louis Garneau.

It has always annoyed me that there are no test shoes like there are with saddles.

My issue is that my feet swell when they’re hot. I can wear a 45 reg Bont on a normal day but I fill a 46 wide on a hot day.

You can’t account for that in a shop. God knows how much I wasted on shoes before I worked out what the problem was.

Bont wide fit are huge. I hate looking down at my feet in them because the resemble flippers. Got to be a 10w penalty at least.

If they don’t accommodate your feet, you’re a freak and you should take up swimming.

I have wide ass feet and really like my shimano xc5 shoes with laces. They've stopped doing the laces version, so not sure if the new version is as wide

I ordered some Sidi Eagles that turned up today. They felt alright trying them out in the house but I felt like my feet were spilling over the edge of the hard sole. That's probably not good is it?

No, that's a bad sign.

I had a lot of trouble finding shoes which fitted decently to my wide feet. Luckily my LBS offered to let me return shoes if I only tried them on the house.

After a couple of goes I found that the wide fit version of Northwaves work well for me. They are expensive though, especially if you go for the speedplay version.

The usual advise applies, to wear football socks when you try them on in the shop.

I might try Northwave next! Has anyone tried the Rebel? What are the other go to brands for the wide flippered rider? Bont and Lake both look a bit sports direct...

This is definitely untrue. They have a bit more space but still way too narrow for me. Lake in a wide size is way better.

I ordered a pair of Northwave Rebel 2 and they fit pretty well, thanks for the recommendation! First impression is pretty good, they seem well made enough. They're quite hard to get on and off would be only initial criticism, the lace part doesn't seem to be as long as it is on the Fizik or Sidi shoes I tried before so I've got to properly stuff my foot in.

Pretty well isn't bad! Yeah the upper (?) is very stiff and the material is really grippy so they are a bit annoying to get on/off, but they happen to fit my foot shape so i don't mind.
