leave social media, it makes no difference whatsoever.
thankfully i learnt this about ten years ago with facebook.
really thought it was gonna be difficult to do and i'd miss all my pictures etc.
i was a heavy user, for sure.
but no. absolutely nothing to miss.
thing that gets me now is when i have to interact with it for work and i can't believe it still looks the same.
twitter was fun for about 5 years and really gave me some fun times.
now it's full of gammons and nutters who are engaging with stuff like this too late in their lives to really understand it.
instagram i was pretty hooked on too. deleted the account.
can't even really remember what was on there.
occasionally look at cool people's feeds to see what they're up to, but always avoid looking at friends etc.
it's a layer of social interaction which i feel is hugely damaging.
try doing a day of zero tech, if you like. or y'know like laptop and phone, stuff you can communicate with.
you'll find it almost unforgettable and the day lasts about twice as long.
i love technology and always have, but clearly we can forge deeply unhealthy and unhelpful relationships with it.
