LTB: small, rigid MTB

Posted on
  • Heeeey i'm in the market for a small, rigid, older MTB, something like a specialized hardrock, or a Trek 820, for my 5'5'' partner. Ratty, little, fun - but enough about her! No, actually that's what i'm after in the bike. Not going to lie, I want something that also looks pretty snazzy and retro. Because do I also want a bike cool enough that I can nick it off her for my pub bike? Yes, clearly.

  • Amazingly, this forum has a whole WANTED THREAD dedicated to requests JUST LIKE THIS!!!

Even more amazingly, it’s the thread under the one you clicked on before listing this here....

  • @Dick Relentless work. Gawd bless ya my man.

  • Where are you based? Interested in frameset + parts or only full bike?

  • I have a nice Trek 930 Singletrack ('94-'96?), blue splatter paint, True Tember OX tubing, made in USA-era. Wheels have been used on another project, original bars are still around somewhere, not sure about the saddle. I was going to strip it and sell just as frameset but for now the rest is all there still; groupset is mix of old Exage and Deore.
£60 for frameset on its own, or £80 with all the bits left on.

Also have a 90's Diamond Back Avenir, frame and forks only, True Temper tubing, dark grey splatter paint. £40.

Posting would be from France, which unfortunately costs about 35€/£30 to the UK.

  • ah that trek is exactly what i'm after, but without wheels and plus postage the cost is going to mount up.

  • Tottenham! Full bike preferable.

  • I have a similar Trek available. It's in Walthamstow. Can't do pictures as I am not at home till Wednesday. How much are you offering?
