  • Fully agree with going the SLR route (especially if you've already got some Canon lenses kicking around), but I picked up a Mju ii recently for a fair price, and am amazed at how small it is considering some of the images it makes.

  • Yeah, I'll admit, some of my favourite photos came out of the Mju, but it was my only camera for a couple of years and I used it a lot. It helps that it would fit in a jersey pocket. I take my SLR a lot less places and I certainly don't take it out on the bike as much anymore, which is a shame because I have some great scenery where I live that would look great on film. Trying to change that though and I do have an SLR friendly handlebar bag....

    But yeah, basically, if maximum portability isn't an issue, SLR body with a nice lens for a third of the price of a Mju-ii makes the most sense to me.
