Other than a erie section of the M40 when I used to visit my grandparents and early morning journeys back from raves I can't think of ever driving in the left lane and not having to almost immediately overtake.
The reality in the UK should be:
LHL = trucks, caravans with xc skiing style ruts
Centre = where everyone else should be driving
RHL = overtaking
