  • What are the current go-to 25mm option for winter training tyres?
Also to be used for commuting with a rear rack.

    Priorities in order:
Noticeably faster than my current Marathon Plus
Very good grip in the rain
    Punture protection

I'm about 65 kg if that makes a difference.

  • Continental GP 4 seasons would be my choice.

  • IME race tyres are grippy and training tyres are (sometimes) puncture proof.

If you’re not already, you can get better wet grip by finding your lowest safe pressure. Something like a Durano is a decent training tyre in 25mm.

  • Michelin pro4 endurance

  • I really rate the Rubino Pro G+, they can usually be found for fairly cheap too. You can go for the Control version too for extra puncture protection at the expense of rolling resistance. But to be fair there's some good alternatives, Michelin Pro4 Endurance or Power Endurance, Conti 4 Season, Hutchinson Fusion 5 All Season, people seem to like the Schwalbe Marathon Supreme.
