  • Going for the golf ball terbulance foil theory...

  • I preferred the Citan after testing both and it's been great. I don't think they've held their value as well as Caddies but they've not been around as long. I think the earliest would be around 63 although my brain is functioning sub par due to heat so best check that.

If you're interested in an XL one with all the extras pm me as I might have to sell mine.

  • I can’t seem to find a Caddy Maxi with the R32 engine and transmission.

  • Citroen CX Loadrunner is surely in the Dammit sweetspot of fast + load-lugger + obscure + technically innovative; the fact that it'll presumably be ruinously expensive to fix any major issues is just an added bonus...

  • Imagine trying to parallel park one

  • Any BMW owners out there who've had an idrive unit which gets stuck in a cycle of rebooting itself?

  • pretty mad. but you have to love an old Escort. saw this lovely RS2000 when down in Essex yesterday

  • The “non-shit” van rabbit-hole is deep.

  • though it didn't make me smile as much as this that had a sweet old couple loving it with the windows down rolling into the Beth Chatto gardens

  • This is a really quite rare colour, Signal Amber. Especially on a droop snoot RS2000.

  • In that condition, might not be original.

  • I remember being a kid and trying to convince my dad to buy rough RS2000s when we first discovered Ebay. 'Look dad, it's only £850' 'It's been welded son, nobody will want it - not worth the money' Spew.

  • Agreed, although you don't really see that many resto'd into that colour either.

  • Have you tried the manufacturer? I was surprised to find Mazda did a set for a 2007 6.

If not, I found those stretchy ones to be good to shelter the kids from the sun. They stretch around the whole door frame.

  • hard to call from my vantage point over the wall. looked excellent. and had every kind of security measure on it.

but made me wonder what were they keeping in the two garages either side of their house

  • Cheers, 92 Saab so there's no one to contact on that one!

Yeah I've seen the stretchy ones but I generally have only ever needed them for me or my partner when were on the move so I'll look for something that folds up and lives in the door pocket.

  • M3 Touring incoming?

    There's a reason they're hiding the front end :)

  • universal windscreen and side window sun shades?

Do you mean the sort of things you put in the back to protect your kids / encourage them to sleep? If so the giant stockings are best. Sorry if that's not what you meant.

  • M3 Touring

I know the forum world loves the idea of M3 estates - me included - but I wonder how many they'll sell?

Normally if you want a fast premium estate that doesn't have a lot of room you buy an Audi S4. Will those people switch?

The other thing I wondered is if they've worked out that enough people will buy saloon and estate M3s to make the extra cost of making the platform viable. When the saloon came out quite a few conjectured that indicated an estate would follow.

  • Audi’s remain the choice of the very worst drivers, Mercedes abandon their owners after ten years- maybe it’s time to try BMW.

  • I guess it depends how you define worst. If you mean generally being a cunt with aftermarket headlights that are too bright, then yes.

If you mean spacial awareness, then I'd stereotype Merc drivers as having the poorest understanding of their cars dimensions.

In all seriousness do you think an M3 touring would be big enough given that you're currently thinking out loud of a van to solve a shortage of space?

  • Also in terms of customer service would anyone provide you with it on a 10yo car?

I just don't think that's how the business works anymore. They want you buying a car every 2-3yrs max and probably don't see why they should service "owners" who aren't "customers". A cynic might say thats why anecdotally premium cars seem to shit themselves relatively soon nowadays.

  • Might wanna check where they put the ECU these daysz.
