Thanks, although in detail still a lot of work to do... Definitely waiting the end of the heatwave to carry on!

Do you know anyone with a bench grinder and polishing disc, that you could borrow? It would speed things up a lot.
And you are probably aware, that the shine will lessen over time as the raw aluminium oxidises
