The shelves can droop - spec is 10kg evenly distributed so fine for books and trinkets, but my iMac sits in the middle of an 80cm span and that shelf has a definite curve. I would personally be hesitant about records (vitsoe can happily take records though apparently). I’ve got the fold-out table, desk, magazine shelf, plus most of the other bits (metal hanging rail, clip on storage bits, etc) if you want to see anything in particular; oak and white finishes.
Sellers are all much of a muchness ime, but lots of places regularly have 15% off. Anything better than that is a Good Price. I got my first batch from Haus as part of larger home office fit out, dealt directly with the lady who runs it and she threw some money off my way, last batch was from Andrea @ insidestore, who I think have a mailing list sign up discount? Madeindesign tend to be good for price too.

John Lewis also do string shelves. If you’re not in a rush you can pick stuff up on eBay. It doesn’t seem to get discounted heavily often but you can also find ex-display stuff. Also definitely call somewhere or go in and negotiate on price - for instance I got the Robdin Day chair above for 35% reduction
I’m just about to install it in our home office spanning whole width - it’s excellent for the money
Considering buying string wall shelves. Are all the places to buy much of a muchness or does anyone recommend one in particular? Just looked at Nest, which is £490 + £50 delivery for 3 shelves and 2 ladders, which is slightly painful. Is it worth waiting on ebay?
Want to put some bookshelves up in the living room, off the ground and fairly prominent so thinking about something a bit nicer than ikea. Any other suggestions?
@6pt - string shelves take weight, right?
