+1 Cheap shitty Astra
For the big van, I’m in a rented transit right now and honestly it’s an absolute joy to drive. Don’t know what engine but it pulls really well and never feels lacking. Cabin is great, well thought out and roomy. Loads of space in the passenger row, although this is a LWB high roof job so not sure if the Custom is the same. I’m into VWs, had a bunch of air and water cooled cars, gone to all the shows and that but I can’t see how I would justify the extra cost of the VW over this unless residuals is where the value is.

I need a small van. Probaly going to get a newish T6 Kombi/Transit Custom Crewcab this time next year, so dont want to spend a huge amount on this one as its just a stop gap.
Anyone have a user experience of a good alternative to VW Caddy? Or should i just get a VW Caddy?
