All you have to do is look at the map (NB click on the link, as the map doesn't embed the way it's linked):
The statue next to the pub and the ruin have been tagged, but not the pub.
Old tag still open.
I did say to @stephens that I thought it was a re-tag, but forgot to check the map yesterday.

drats, I was just too keen to go to the pub. Tag is still open until I offer up a new New? Should get out at some point later. But obviously play on, etc etc.

You only need to set a new tag. Others need to tag the old one and a new one.

New: The location of this previously functional device now abstract structuralist sculpture would very much come in handy in this current climate.

This is round the back of my estate, wonder if it’s next door to where the library used to be.

No, but let's all agree that is me telling lies.
Does not matter, it really isn't that important.
EDIT: the self claimed arbiter of this thread has not called this as a retag so it can't be true.

It's here, unfortunately the photo hosting has since died:

I wonder if we can be more relaxed about retags? It feels like it’s a bit exclusionary for those who haven’t played for the last decade. We can still point them out, ask if there’s a map, debate whether it’s a retag or not ... but perhaps not be too fussed about letting it stand?

That would suit me - it's most fun when the game keeps moving.

KT - been saying it for a long time, retags happen, the game has been a lot more fun recently when it's been moving along. -

Amazed you would think I am unaware of the map! Wait, there's a map?
But, that is only helpful if one knows where the location in question is...

I could have searched it better tbh, don't think its too much to expect of new players. I think the game does need rules that are followed. Happy that this decade long endeavour in an age of the temporary is still going.

I think a simple word search within the thread would be the wisest move for new and old players alike. Maybe the first post needs editing to advise that?
I did recognise it straight away (being the sad bloke that I am) but held back from immediately shouting Re to keep the flow.
As it's turned out, I like the new one very much. It would be very exciting if they ever get the funding to reinstate it. There's a great comment from the then 20 year old who drafted the design of it but who left before completion. He can't believe it's still here and the main focus of the campaign to bring it back.

Back in 2016 they were expecting it to be re-opened within 3 or so years.
So you can see where that went..... -

Are any water fountains across London even turned on at the moment? I thought they'd all be turned off because of Covid.
Councils across London have been bloody shit when it comes to water fountains. It really pisses me off that whenever there's a big paid event/festival going on in Hyde Park, they always turn off the water fountain near Speakers Corner. No water available, temporarily, only 3 quid cans of coke and shit coffee at grossly inflated prices. Fuck off.
I've been using an old school water fountain in that little park on the north side of the river between Vaux and Battersea for years. It was always on and working and so became a regular stop off point for refills.
About 18 months ago, while filling up with water there I was approached by 3 men in suits from Westminster Council, who asked if they could ask me a few questions about the fountain as they were thinking of replacing it. I explained I did not see the need to replace it as it was the most reliably working and sturdy designed fountains in London, and surely they had other priorities that needed their attention. They looked a bit put out, and when I repeatedly kept asking why replace it? And did not get a proper answer once, they kind of walked away in a strop.
About a month later that old, simple but fine fountain was removed. Another one was not immediately put in its place, so for a while there was none there. Then finally a new fountain was installed, it was much more modern and cheap looking, like it would not last at all. It had a push button operation rather than a trust lever and spout. It worked properly for less than a month, and then broke, has not been repaired, appears to have been vandalised beyond repair, and now there is no fountain, and just a trashed mess of a non-working fountain. Its been fucked like that for long before this Covid thing happened, and continues to be so.
All in all totally fucking useless effort by Westminster Council, as is so often the case with them, everyone was better off by them doing nothing and keeping their fucking noses out. As soon as they got involved it went to shit. #rant. Sorry BTOB, that's been bugging me for ages. #not a clue
