In both cases video evidence meant I shouldn't be out of pocket (depends what price you put on pain)
Still waiting on the rest of the fucking insurance money. Almost 2 years now and that cunt was back on the road after doing a driver awareness course.

One of the time nearly being run into i was trying to get them to slow down as i knew that there was roadworks and that there were oncoming cars. So they just ignored me and decided to go straight for me when they said said cars coming head on. Someone yelled out the window when turning off so i gave chase, they must have freaked as they took off down the street almost getting air over the speed humps.

I had the audacity to stop for a red light
You’re a cyclist, you’re not supposed to stop at red lights

There's definitely more angst out there. I was screamed at the other night by a guy who defined frustration. Asked the guy why and he shouted that I was "in the centre of the road". I said - "yes, but you can see I'm turning right so I have to signal and move over there... that's how turning right works, to do it any other way is dangerous"... he said "YEAH BUT YOU DON'T HAVE TO TAKE THE FUCKING PISS".
I stayed super reasonable and asked him to be a bit more patient. I was just trying to get home from work after all.
He wished me a sarcastic good night and wheelspun away.
I actually moved over a bit earlier and more deliberately than usual because he was red lining it behind me and I wanted to avoid surprising him.. Needless to say it was a 20 mph road and he would have been doubling that.

Was this the lady that rear ended you?

Yeah. I had a Fly6 camera so that was no contest about blame, etc and the CCTV got whatever hit my other bike in the carpark.

Anyone else play commute bingo?
It was just something I did unawares but it seems to have solidified and I would like some help with this
So far my categories are:
nodders
ripped dude on a cinelli fixie- usually see one
surprisingly fit cyclist- someone seemingly unfit but going moving at speed; kinda rare
Suicidal pedestrian- at least one a dayCouple of new ones:
I seem to be seeing a lot skateboarders, on ss of course, with a skateboard on the front rack
my latest is BSB- big squeaky bicycle. The bike must be at least two sizes above what is required for the cyclist plus, the squeak must be audible for an as yet to be agreed distance- you gotta be able to hear them coming

big squeaky bicycle
Does it need to have an unhitched front or rear v-brake, possibly with an accompanying buckled wheel?

This so much. I got razzed on my touring bike, going a steady 17 down a straight road by a builder, complete with hard hat on a Halfords special. I thought he'd tire, but he didn't. Lost sight of him!

Got called a fucking cunt by a pedestrian stepping out and nearly getting slammed into during a green light (for traffic), which made my evening.

Think it's bad now, wait until Vauxhall Bridge is shut for four months.
Hope they fix the stupid barriers that are half blocking the cycle lane.

Cycled to work to feed the work crows, got stuck behind a very slow peleton of adult BMX ers cycling 4 aside on a shared cycle/footpath.
All on their way to popular mini stunt area. It has low long steps that offer lots of skateboard / BMX fun.
Just not for me today they were awfully slow 😁😁😁

Had to stop myself getting righteous at a hi-vis MTB commuter earlier, for cutting up 10 cyclists as they waited for a light to turn green, rather than queue like everyone else. Basically (a classic) he wasn't as fast as he assumed he was and had to swerve back in before he collided with the oncoming peloton.
Was going to give him an earful about etiquette and safety whilst on my BRKLSS TARCK biek. -

Having never mastered the track stand, got the whole way without putting a foot down for the first time.
Will probably get struck by lighting this afternoon for using up all that luck. -

Nice to see some more space for cyclists in Bristol on this morning’s ride in

Classic Bristol, taking a very lateral approach.
Edit: damn! Photos now the correct orientation.
Side note, one issue with those bollards is they allow all the debris to build up in the lane and create puncture hazards. Cars used to brush it further into the gutter.

It’s been 157 days since I was last in work Clerkenwell despite swollen knee, I chose a soft gear to pedal on. abandoned the jersey for black craft perforated vest on the home leg.. not a flattering look but at least modest.. otherwise coulda gone topless today, but it would have been a horror show.
Office was like Mary Celeste all day..

It was very quite from Vauxhall to new cross tonight. The embankment by battersea bridge to putney is fucked beyond believe. So much road works at the mo -

I buried myself into a headwind trying to catch an elderly woman on an Dutch style bike a few weeks back. Of course once I actually overtook her I saw it was an e-bike and felt like a bit of a tit.

Straight in the kids paddling pool when I got home today. Not built for this heat.

maybe we do need to make it a harder to tick off category?
I like the oversize aspect and the squeak adds some rarity to the combo. lotta oversized bikes, lotta squeak, combo maybe less so
shall we go for the buckled wheel?

I tried out the new improvements to CS7 last night.
Nearly didn't make it to Tooting due to a pair of horrific close passes near Oval.
The improved sections are a lot better but they only seem to have done the easy bits. Still huge stretches full of parked cars.
Hope they've got more to come!

I did that too... looked like a Brompton and I didn't understand why the headwind didn't bother the cyclist on it.
Then I saw the front e-hub <- derp.
Tests and registration would sort that out......oh wait..
