Cheers, not finished yet! The guy I bought it off got in touch saying he’d found a spare decal set so looking forward to receiving them in the post!
Trying to decide what bars to put on this with the di2 shifters - options are some compact Zipp service course or other end of the spectrum Nitto noodle... 🤷♂️

All coming together, cables and cassette acquired...
Can’t decide between cranks - ultegra 6700 for the complete ultegra vibe but they’re 175mm and I’ve not ridden 175 before... or 172. Sram red (sanded and clear coated shortly) because I’ve had these cranks on every bike and I like them, they’re light!
Decided these wheels suit the bike better, the Roberts is getting the pink hubs...

Cheers! It’s not soo neat up close but this is only supposed to be a daily/commuter/all weather thing...
The bodges have begun - cant mount the short di2 battery anywhere and the cage extension I ordered is the wrong part so I’ve electrical taped it on under the bottle cage, which will have to be resolved later (when I need to charge the battery)
Also the mishmash headset has been a bit of a headache - found myself making my own shim/scuff washers out of plastic which seems to have worked!

And on the winter/daily vibe I think I’m going to have to switch back to the ultegra cranks so I can use the de-logo’d sram on the Roberts while I save up for campagnolo cranks...
Also these cages turned up - some China carbon mandible copies I ordered for the Parlee, this will get some bog standard black Halfords ally cages when I find them...

Wow that battery looks likes a design fault wrong sharp.i know the late ones goes into seatpost or seattube .maybe you can mount it inside a saddle bag at least you can't see it.

Hands up anyone with a KG381 on here? I need some help again with headset issues, turns out the bottom bearing set that I have aren’t the correct ones and potentially neither is the crown race - the bottom of the headset tube and the fork just touch... 🤦♂️

This was mine.. can't really help with your headset issues, just remember I had exactly the same problem regarding stack height of the upper bearing..i ended up bodging it with a mix of different bearings, some spacers and a different top cover..

Well it helps to know it’s not just me!
I’ve measured the depth of the lower cup and its 12mm - the deepest bearings in the catalogues @mdcc_tester kindly linked me to (thank you for all the help!!) is 8mm - I’m now waiting to hear back from a few local bike shops as to what the thickest crown race they’ve got in there spares is so fingers crossed I’ll find a combo that works.
Yours looks lovely - how was it on the road?Cheers,

Cheers, but would you be up for measuring the depth of the bearing sets within the headset?
Pat. 5095770 is the US patent for threadless headsets...

^i added the spacer to fill the gap I’d measured - I had no intention of attempting to set it up and ride like this...

I know this sounds bad but I cannot get the cups out due to the cap at the top being stuck half way. Also I don’t have a digital scale to measure this. Let me see if I can get this to the shop first before I can measure the bearing and gap inside for you.

Good luck @retrodicorsa 👍🏻👍🏻
I love a rat bike but I’ve never been able to live with one, always start polishing/painting/collecting matchy stuff... ah well...
