  • Interesting you mention this. Had an email from the parish council saying I need to dismantle it!

    They are concerned it’s too big - there’s bigger on our allotment
    That it’s permanent - it’s a shed
    That it could be dangerous - there’s lots of dangers in allotments; glass, some chemicals, poisonous plants.

    Why do I bother

    An issue with allotments, which could work either way, is they are run by low level local councils and even just allotment tenants. So you just never know what is going to happen. And if you piss people off they can get very petty and make the whole experience the opposite of what you'd expect.

  • I'd push back a bit on that. Ask what height it needs to be to comply, show that it's clearly as temporary as any shed, measure any larger structures etc.

  • Presumably it doesn't fall under permitted development?
