I spent close half of that redoing a whole victorian house. And an extension of about 500sq ft. I not only destroyed most period features but also installed laminate flooring and a mid-low ikea kitchen. Its fine if you dont use your house as some sort of social currency or extension of your character.

You know my feelings on Laminate, Amey. There are few things more cruel to inflict on a period house. Pebbledash maybe? I am not sure.
Also have spent the last ten years with Ikea kitchen. My fucking cats revelled in pulling off the plinth guards every fucking morning because ghosts. I know there is better out there. I know it!
£200k should really get that done.
