Thanks dudes, Quite like this...
Did you get this in the end?
Keep half heartedly looking for a suitable chair for my OH that will fit (physically and stylistically) in our dinning room which has an oval extending G-plan dinning table and Johannes Andersen teak dining chairs.
The other challenge I guess is if you switch to an office chair, working on a dinning table will probably be too low.

@tenderloin I reckon an Eames aluminium group with a fixed base in the right fabric would look good there, too. Exceedingly comfortable.

if you can't enjoy a wall hanging then start nourishing your tiny wrinkled pea-brain

Not sure - too shiny I think.
Going to check out the Robin day at twentytwentyone on Saturday as need to go pick up a Vitra potence lamp from them anyway -

Could buy vintage. I really like the way the tarnished Alu looks on mine. But yeah, I feel you. They are very shiny when new.

Great lamp. Strong work!
Edit: you can get the Eames Alu with a basic dark frame now but don’t think the look is right for what you want. Robin Day FTW!

It’s a great chair for sure but I don’t think quite right. We’re not in a huge rush so will take our time to decide.
Yeah, I’m hoping it fits in the room!!

A Lappalainen lounge chair is competing on my wish list with the cliched Eames. For me it’ll all eventually come down to the size of the living room and orientation.

I have one of these saghi lounge chairs by Kazuhhide Takahama for Gavina From the 1970’s
Like the airy ness of the frame but also nice and wide
