Not too happy with GCN race pass. Still no English language highlights of Occitanie stage 3 many many hours after the race has finished.

There's a dearth of coverage, this is all I've found;

Looks like he was a super domestique for the day.
Giving away victories top help with power struggles later at the tour? -

This is a superb photo.

yeah it seems a strange one to judge him on.
or difficult rather than strange

The BBC was judging him after stage 1, that he was in 85th place. Neglecting that he was on the same time as the leader.
Still, Bernal looked pretty dominant yesterday.

I’m actually quite happy to see the Sky/Ineos mountain train demolishing people.
Bit of a return to racing normality, which I find reassuring.

When Tao did his turn, he rode all but two off Bernal's wheel.

Froome thinned the group down to 14 riders, Tao shed another 10, including Bardet, Porte, Mollema ("Fuck SRAM") and Barguil, in a 5 minute effort. Impressive stuff.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if he makes his Tour debut this year.

The key formative influence, of course, was drag sprinting against @WornCleat. He'd be nowhere without it.

La Route D'Occitanie went right past my parents house today...

Did you DAS Tao?

Alas I’m not there; my brother is down there at the moment.
Heading for a month in October but don’t think there’s anything happening locally around then.

Indeed! Giving it some on the front.

His low cadence out the saddle efforts are very off brand for Ineos

Horrible crash at the end of the the opening stage of the Tour of Poland. Dylan Groenewegen took his compatriot Fabio Jacobsen into the barriers, right at the finish. Huge pile up.
I hope Jacobsen and the finish line official are okay, but it didn't look good.

Very unpleasant crash in the Tour de Pologne finale just now, following a very messy sprint.
-
• #26046
Felt sick seeing that happen.

• #26047
^ this. Bet cav is glad he wasn’t up there
-
• #26048
Awful footage, hope all are ok
-
• #26049
Yeah he was "lucky" in that he got held up in the small crash before so was still fighting his way back to the front.

Seems like Jakobsen is ok, only a few cuts and grazes.
So all the others riders are getting the marginal gains sweets now.
