Watched a fair bit of that video. Must’ve been quite a de-brief.

Wild?
It's off this planet.
Mum has severe dementia. It is really difficult/impossible at times to get through to her.
I feel for the Aussie interviewer.
Don should really be taken out of the picture .
Sensitively.
As you would for any other mental health patient.
For the sake of everyone.
Everywhere.
It isn't easy.ETA - Yes, I know he's an utter cunt.

Is it? I'm pretty convinced at this point we're living in a glitched simulation, anything can happen.

There’s a guy on twitter been saying it’s very specific fronto-temporal dementia for a very long time and that the symptoms even down to his leaning forward over his skis when standing still are clinically obvious. His walking with flapping/dragging foot, balance, verbal tics and apparent fear of stairs and slopes further apparent evidence.

Which will be precisely the excuse he uses to avoid jail when he gets kicked out and the law catches up with him.

Not sure how that didn't register with me.

Presumably this won’t succeed. And any future Republican President will just pardon them all anyway. But it could divert NRA attention and resources and should pave the way to much greater scrutiny of some shady people and goings on. So bloody good luck to her!

New York based charity is subject to NY State Laws and regulations. They might re-register in a different state, but their legacy stuff would still be subject to scrutiny.
A fair few NRA members would not be happy if the allegations are proven. Also Wayne Lapierre is a fucking mega-cunt of the highest order. And Trump can't pardon State crimes, only Federal crimes. I'm warming up the popcorn maker for this one.

Is the popcorn maker a nickname for your handgun?

Please tell me it's not a nickname for your penis.

Wasn’t aware of this (obviously). I thought the power to pardon was almost absolute. But this is a very good thing.
I agree it will be fascinating viewing, especially if we get to witness someone like Lapierre crumble.

That would violate the principle of checks and balances. This is the summary list of notable pardons by US Presidents. Up until Nixon all of them look pretty sensible, after that it starts get murky until it turns into downright cronyism.
It will be interesting to see if later there is a push to change the executive clemency laws.

One would argue the head of state being able to unilaterally pardon crimes without scrutiny and ratification by independent courts (not that these exist in the US anyway) is already a violation of that principle.

downright cronyism
Modern politics in a nutshell. The worst part is that it’s so overt now.

Learned two things today, Bill Clinton pardoned his brother for coke possession and Obama pardoned Ian Schrager.

As are all the Thais when they refer to their country in English. Sorry, I meant all the Thighs. Obvs.
Someday this presidency's gonna end.
