I think 30m of WR is code for “splashproof” to be honest. I wouldn’t worry about washing your hands wearing it but I wouldn’t go swimming and expect it to hold up.

FYI this is why divers watches > chronographs. [winking emoji]

So I'm aware of the code, but don't manufacturers have to test and prove the rating? Therefore its definitely splashproof, but best you shouldn't try it if you can help it, but it should hold up if you do land in a pool.
